Dethguild: Twenty Rules To live By As America Goes To Hell

I stumbled on this outfit some time ago and it is one of those Blogs that I should really pay more attention to.
There are some intelligent people over there and sometimes they really drive one home.

This is not a seriously mind jarring piece but more of an acknowledgement that yes, this country is swirling the drain, more people should wake the fuck up and realize that for a fact and start acting accordingly, because we aren't in Kansas anymore Toto.

After sitting down with a few adult beverages, they came up with a not so tongue in cheek list of things that we as a people should really take to heart.

Here are some I snagged that I believe should be paid particular attention to.

You should go read the rest
because this is only the very beginning of what appears to me to be a pretty good list of things to keep in the back of your mind as we wend our way through the long slow collapse of our society that is currently underway and as we try to go about our daily lives.
1: Be as self sufficient as possible without endangering folks or making life unnecessarily miserable.
2: Avoid crowds. Crowds are magnets for all manner of trouble.

(Why I hate living in the city!)

9: A person can know a lot – but can’t master everything. They’ll need tribe to cover the gaps.
10: Do not bring a knife to a gun fight.
11: Never shoot a threat in the face when you can shoot it in the back. From 500 yards away.
12: In a life or death struggle, never employ half measures.
13: There is no shame in fleeing danger.

Should be common sense, no?

I'm not positive but I think they quit making that, or so it appears, it always seems to be in short supply lately.

One should never forget, this is the new normal.
