I Finally Found An Apprentice I Don't Mind Training.
Here is a true story for ya.
Back in the early 90's after I had graduated from the two year Ford sponsored college program and had been working at the dealership for a couple of years, another class graduated and they brought me someone to train in working on cars for a living.
A 90 pound, four foot five young lady.
I said, you gotta be kidding me.
Nope, she's all yours. To say I was less than thrilled would be an understatement.
Her name was Jolene.
I did a lot of interior and electrical work back then.
Water leaks, squeaks and rattles and a shit ton of heater cores and air conditioning work too.
By the time I got done with her, I could turn her loose on a brand new Lincoln Town Car and tell her to pull the dash while I tore into something else.
She could do every bit of it except yanking it off the mounts and setting it on the front seats. That takes two people.
She was an honest to goodness automotive technician.
She wound up marrying the Service department General Manager's Nephew and having a kid but she knew how to turn wrenches and cuss like a Teamster by the time I was through with her.

You lucky dog!
You did right by her, and having someone willing to learn is a plus.
The poor thing must have caught me looking down her shirt a thousand times.......
These days she would be suing me and the company into oblivion.
