I got that phone call at 5:30 this morning after going to bed at 4.
My Dad passed away.
It's going to be a long day.

That sucks mon !
I just read the news of your Dad's passing on Wirecutter's blog - very sorry to hear of it.
You have my deepest condolences. Having lost my mother 2 weeks ago, I know what you are probably going through. Stay strong my friend.
I'd like to thank you all for your kind thoughts.
The Old Man was a tough bastard and he wouldn't want me crying in my beer so to speak so I need to buck up and soldier on.
As you can imagine there are a great deal of things that need to be scheduled and two bazillion phone calls to make.
My condolences, Phil. Not much else to say.
Hey man, I just saw this. Sorry, indeed.
Just getting caught up on my blog reading and noticed this today. Its never a good time for that kind of news, but being sleep deprived makes it harder to react. That really sucks, Phil.
Lost both parents some years ago. Still miss 'em. Kept my Dad's old metal thermos he took his coffee to work in every morning....
Take care, my friend. And my condolences on the passing of a fellow swabbie.
