I do actually have a brace drill with bits. Got them from my late father in law...and they were old when he got them. I have actually used them...and can honestly say powered drills and IMMENSE improvement. The only reason to have one is if SHTF and there is NO electrical power at all.
I remember Dr. Barry Green using one of these to extract a length of threaded stock from my knee ! I was under anasthesia when he had inserted it to hold leg cast in place, thank goodness.
