Only with massive bought and brought in inputs. Like fertilizer, pig food, chicken food and so on.

Currently it's cheaper to buy my eggs and take my chickens eggs to broody hens and sell pullets ready to lay to others.

But I like having chickens as someday they might be useful in feeding me and mine as fiat bucks become TP.

Michael, it didn't say that work and capital and sweat wasn't going to be free, you want food you grew and knew what was put on it and what wasn't sprayed with and when food becomes too expensive or not on the shelves at least you can survive and eat.

Oddly Cedriq we seem to agree here.

But my plans for survival are for me AND MINE not just me.

All planning needs to INCLUDE the inputs as someday those INPUTS might not be available. Very few of my chicken's calories comes from Tractor Supply.
