The internet age has made politicians obsolete. Everyone can vote instead of trusting someone to do it for you even though they no longer can define a woman properly. People that become obtuse enough to refuse to define simple words correctly lack the ability to represent themselves truthfully and are not qualified to do it for others. The hinge of a republic is that the people must be civil and moral. Other wise it apparently can devolve into democracy in less than a century. If they don't enforce the law then they by definition are lawless.
There are reasons they spend millions getting elected to a position that pays under 200K. Term limits and blind investment portfolio's are not on the docket and never will be.
