Fixing stupid is not your job. Do not fix stupid. Use it as an income stream. Charge it to repair everything that does not work in its life. It is a lot of fun and profitable ... Making money by explaining that their expectations will never be obtainable because their doohickey was not designed to do that is fun and profitable. Just make sure they pay you up front...
