Who had these? I was a snob, only Matchbox for me. I had even the large Matchboxes.

I had ALL of these and MORE. I even had the battery-powered "Sizzler" cars; the ones that you charged up with a battery bank that looked like a gas pump. I also had track sets that used the "Supercharger;" a thing that attached inline to the track that had foam rubber wheels spinning inside it that would shoot the cars out the other side. Kinda like a tennis ball thrower. I had my share of Matchbox cars too. They were cool but not fast. That was, of course, until Matchbox came out with their "Superfast" cars, which were as good as, if not BETTER than, Hot Wheels. Then there was "Johnny Lightning." Those cars SUCKED. The wheel axles would always bend, causing the cars to drag against one side of the track, or just veer off in one direction or the other on the floor. Once the axles bent, they were done. They were good for blowing up with firecrackers and not much more.

I had a couple of the large Matchbox vehicles, but they were throw-aways from the kids in the rich side of town. I could NEVER afford those with all that "white privilege" I had...

...Person preference isn't snobbery... You collected yours. I beat the HELL out of mine!
