I once heard a story, don't know if it was true, about some concrete workers who nailed a pair of rubber boots to the inside of concrete form and when the form boards were removed the soles of the boots were showing through. Of course the pour would have failed inspection but more to the point the bosses wanted to be sure there were no feet still in the boots.
