I remember my parents having to sign a waiver when I started taking shop classes in jr high school and through sr high school absolving them of liability had I cut off my finger/hand/foot and that I was responsible enough to handle and understand safety procedures and use them.

I loved shop class and regret it’s passing. Of course, I took it so long ago that one of my projects was to assemble and finish a cap and ball revolver
