Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to attend the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota as more Americans attend large gatherings this year following last year's coronavirus lockdowns.  

The rally kicked off Friday and will last over 10 days with 700,000 people expected to attend. The event was widely criticized as a "superspreading event" last year amid the pandemic, when about 460,000 people attended. 

Some state officials have urged caution on the gathering, in light of the delta variant of the virus, but have said the rally can be done "safely" with "proper precautions."

Even In The Rain

 The 4 of us boys used to pile in the back of the Old Man's 68 Ford 4X4 in any and all weather and sit there until we got where we were going Sometimes half way across an entire state.

The Coming Awakening

 

There is going to be a MASSIVE Red Pilling of the American Public coming whether the Deep State tries to avoid it or not.

As a matter of fact, it is well under way right this minute.

The blatant theft of the last Presidential election, the absolute lack of any meaningful response to it by ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY, is going to eat away like a corrosive acid at the back of peoples minds from here on out.

As soon as the results of the decisions and mandates being made by The Usurper start manifesting and we start our slow slide into Venezuela and these things start getting unmistakably noticeable by John Thumb In His Ass Public then the true grass roots resistance is going to start in earnest.

It is inevitable at this point.

Then we are going to see just how much of the true American spirit there is left in this country and just how creative the younger generations can be because this is going to wind up right in their laps.

Old Boomers like me and my generation can only do so much and hopefully some of that will be a large transfer of knowledge.

The younger generations hate our guts but at least some of them will be smart enough to figure out that not all knowledge comes from a few finger strokes on a keyboard.

Maybe, just maybe that wrinkled up crotchety old bastard down the street has a few things going on after all.

We also tend to have a few more resources at hand.

One way or another we are going to find out.

“This is the beginning of the divorce,” former GOP congressman Carlos Curbelo told The Hill on Friday, as aftershocks from insurrectionary violence two days before reverberated across the nation.

Curbelo, who represented Florida’s 26th District from 2015 to 2019, was predicting a final and permanent split between President Trump and the Republican Party.

His assessment took another step toward reality a few hours later when Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) became the first GOP senator to call for Trump’s resignation, even though there were then only 13 days left in his White House tenure.

“I want him out. He has caused enough damage,” Murkowski told the Anchorage Daily News.

Murkowski also mused publicly on her future within the GOP. 

“If the Republican Party has become nothing more than the party of Trump, I sincerely question whether this is the party for me,” she said.

On Sunday, Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) echoed Murkowski's call, telling CNN  that Trump's resignation would be "the best path forward."

The Republican Party, and the nation at large, are grappling with related issues. 

The GOP is mulling what it should look like, and stand for, in a post-Trump era. For the nation, there are questions about whether the boil of extreme militancy has been lanced, or whether last week’s violence was an ominous harbinger. 

"At the level of American party politics, I think this is a turning point, a watershed — and the beginning of the end of Donald Trump as a major figure inside the political system," said Larry Diamond, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University who has written extensively about threats to democracy. 

Yet Diamond also cautioned that, when it comes to the danger from far-right extremists willing to engage in violence, "the boil hasn't even begun to be lanced, and the poison is still growing."

Yes, Virginia, Portland is continuing to slide further and further into 3rd world status. If you can believe it, the situation is actually getting worse, as we bring you the latest in Portland s***hole news.

The city is set to the the year with nearly 900 shootings. Yes, 900. Out of those, 225 people were hit, 53 ended up as homicides. In many other instances people were taken to hospitals, yet some didn’t want to cooperate with police. In other incidents there are only reports of shots fired and shells found on the ground, yet no victims. This is despite the state legislature passing several new gun control laws in recent years, including “universal background checks”, “red flag laws”, and others. This goes along with nearly 70 stabbings on the year. This is the worst crime the city has seen since the early 90’s crime peak.

I'll tell you what, I won't even go in to downtown Portland in broad daylight anymore.

There were already other sections of that town that I won't go into but now half of that entire city is a No Mans Land as far as I am concerned.

Directly where I used to live and work at one time.

And it ain't going to get any better anytime soon either.

I'm really starting to think that instead of working to replace one of the 100+ year old bridges that cross the Columbia river from Vancouver into Portland, they ought to look into blowing it into the river instead to keep that vermin over there as much as possible.
