The End Of The World As We Know It Is Happening Before Our Very Eyes

Unfortunately, Normalcy Bias is blinding us to the facts.

Mosby over at Mountain Guerrila has a lengthy post up that I highly recommend you go read.

The truth can be painful at times and I can certainly see myself in what he talks about, as will some of the rest you.

A couple of snippets, you really should go read the whole thing to put it into his true perspective.

TEOTWAWKI…For Real
For most of us, of a, shall I say, “certain age,” normal is defined as the America we recognize from our youth and young adulthood. That America is gone, as most of us recognize. The denial in question isn’t that. The denial is expecting that “normal” as we define it is going to return.

Normalcy bias, in this instance, is the belief that TEOTWAWKI will be heralded by some obvious, major catalyst, like an EMP or the declaration of martial law by the government. Ignoring the absolute, absurd impossibility of effective martial law in the United States, as a whole, think about the actual definition of TEOTWAWKI. It’s HERE, NOW, and denying it is normalcy bias.

TEOTWAWKI is here folks and I for one have had a persistent and overbearing sense that "bad things are coming" hammering inside my head for several months now that is getting louder and louder.

I think it's time to sit down and have a long conversation with myself about just how I am going to respond to the crisis staring us in the face. We can't afford to be walking around with blinders on anymore.

The United States of America is dead as we knew it and now it is time to start going about life with the full realization that it's not coming back and that we are in fact, minorities now in our own country.

Living in the FUSA from here on out is going to get more tactical every day.
No more can one just go about their business without being aware that there exists the possibility that one may just run into a situation that requires an instant life or death decision. Just getting pulled over by a nervous cop for a license plate light being out can get you dead these days.

Personally, I know in my heart that I am not even close to being where I should be even after years of knowing it was coming.

The learning curve is going to be steep and the writing is on the wall now.

You can quit wondering if it is going to be quick or a long slow slide, TEOTWAWKI is here folks, best get squared away for it ASAP.

H/T to Mike for the link, I had Mosby on the blogroll but a few months ago had a major malfunction on the blog and he somehow got removed. That has been rectified.

The United States has been artificially divided by our oligarchs, all the more to conquer us (dividing is of course the prelude to conquering, whether it was Julius Caesar dividing the Gauls against each other or Cortez dividing the various nations of Central Mexico against each other in order to conquer the Aztecs with only a few hundred troops, or whether it was the British Empire conquering the half-billion souls of India with never an army of more than 40,000 British soldiers in the field, using half of the populace to conquer the other half has always been the way of conquerors. There were not enough British soldiers in the entire Empire to conquer India by force of arms, but by dividing the various principalities against each other, they conquered India with mostly Indian soldiers, much as Caesar had done in Gaul over 1700 years prior.

So we have been divided. And conquered, really. If there was a class war, our class lost, and the 1% of the 1% that owns 50% of America now won. We are now serfs on Walmart's plantation. Some of us are house slaves and treated better than the field serfs, but serfin' USA we be.

What's the solution? Hell if I know. I'm just doing my best to survive as a mammal in a world dominated by terrifying dinosaurs with immense force at their disposal. But finding little ecological niches to fill keeps getting harder and harder...

Phil, here's a good article that gives a parallel to your point.

http://allnewspipeline.com/EMP_Attack_Difference_Between_Life_And_Death.php

The difference between the two couples in the article reinforces your point and Mosby's point, that it's easy to lose focus on the long term goal.
