Political Blogging

I have very consciously kept it to a minimum here.

Trust me when I say that I am no stranger to it, the reason I started Blogging clear back in '06 was because the Bush administration pissed me off to the point that I needed a way to vent and lo and behold, another mouthy asshole blogger was born.

As a matter of fact, if you type Ornery Bastard into the Google search engine to this day, both of my blogs with that name are the number one and number two returns.
I been to Grandma's house before.

I have been linked to by some big name blogs and even the Wall Street Journal.

The reason I don't get into politics much anymore is simple.

It was causing me to be in a state of absolute fury all the damn time because I was a political junkie.

To this day, I firmly believe that George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and about half of their entire administration belong in jail.

There were over 450 documented scandals during that period and some rose to the level of treason.

Then came Barry Obama.

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

I watched this clown pick up where BushCo left off and absolutely run with it.

I couldn't fucking believe my eyes.

Not only that, now that he has unmasked his true agenda, his administration is even worse!

I will tell you straight out that I was a registered Democrat for about thirty years.
There was always a healthy Libertarian streak just under the surface though.

It didn't take too long and my eyes got opened real wide watching Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the rest of that cast of fuck heads though. Pretty quick I was all done with that bunch too.

I never could stand that bitch Feinstein anyway.

When I finally quit drinking and set the bottle down for good hopefully, it seems my muse packed up and hit the fucking road in disgust shortly afterwards.

I just can't seem to articulate my anger and frustration as easily as I could after a few belts and my desire to do so has also tapered off.

Now I am just pissed clear the fuck off at the whole damn system. Party affiliation is a moot point, they are all one and the same anymore.

Being furious all the time takes a toll though, you get burned out after ten years of it and you can't pay close enough attention to what is really going on because that is usually way more subtle.

There is a lot of misdirection and obfuscation involved that you need to be able to discern and that isn't possible when everything you look at has a red tinge to it because your blood pressure is off the charts.

So I laid off the politics just like the booze.

I still pay attention and see things that they are trying to pull but the average American is so fucking dense and has such a short attention span anymore that if you try and inform them of what is happening before their very eyes , you have to use finger paints basically and fuck that.
It ain't worth my time anymore.

So once in a while, you may see me raging about something political but for the most part I just find other ways to take my frustrations out.

It's exactly what has been said before anyway.

We are not voting our way out of this mess.

That window got slammed shut years and years ago.

You are clearly not alone, a lot of people are walking around with 'What the Hell Is Going On?' looks on their faces, its SURREAL. There ought to be a TV network called 'YOU AIN'T GOING TO BELIEVE THIS SHIT' - its Bread and Circuses all the way through. Repubs - Dems - no difference at all, this country is going to the crapper.

Latest news from Iraq is no surprise, I'm seeing a 'call for war' that will occur soon, they need something to distract from the home front.

All politicians dance to their paymasters . . . and it ain't the voter.

Personally Phil, I have no doubt the when the shit hits, you will be there. Not because you want to. Not because you have to. Because you know that to stand is the only option. You just keep posting boobies, (even though I happen to know you like long legs and shapely derrieres), and I'll keep hanging around. Until you bore me. Then I may have to find a new blogger buddy...
