Nothing Even Compares

We went to that Brit Floyd concert last night.
I somehow managed to miss the naked bike riders and the Rose Festival mess, I had forgotten that was going on too.

I will say this again, if you EVER get a chance to see this show, do it.

The light show alone is worth the price of admission, seriously.

We had box seats up on the balcony so we could see everything going on pretty damn good and there is always something going on. The lights are going, the lasers are going, there something showing on the screen at all times and at certain points will take up the back of the whole stage.

The inflatable pig was there, the sound was excellent, it was absolutely, freakin', awesome.

When they started playing Sorrow i almost had tears in my eyes.

The Big Finale is Comfortably Numb of course and this crappy You Tube video will never in a million years even begin to compare to the real thing but it will give you a pretty good idea of the light show.
When the mirrored ball comes out at 7:11, I can tell you that it will blow your fucking mind in person.
An incredible spectacle.

I could see this show about ten more times and not see everything.

Got to meet the band and backup singers after the show and got my Tee shirt and a poster autographed too.

Grog, if you are reading this, they will be in Seattle tomorrow.

Get your ass down and get a couple of tickets.

I had the pleasure of seeing Pink Floyd during their "Momentary Lapse Of Reason" tour in Dallas Texas November 22, 1987. I was in the Army stationed at Ft. Bliss and five of us took a 3 day pass because there was three actual shows on the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, and none of us had tickets for the same day so we just made it one weekend that I will never forget.

P.S. Our first Sergent made us all take a whizz quizz after Monday morning PT, and none of us popped positive.

Glad you enjoyed it. I had a great time when they were here in NH. Comfortably Numb was worth the whole price of admission ;) I would definitely go again.

Inflatable pig?

I saw an Emerson, Lake and Palmer concert in Albuquerque back in 1971 but clearly things have changed .

The inflatable pig is a stage prop and album cover that was incorporated in Pink Floyd's live shows when the "Animals" album was released way back in the 70's. Roger Waters still uses this in his own stage shows

Phil, thanks for the heads up, but I didn't read it in time.
