The Naval Yard Shooting

It always boggles my mind.
I can't for the life of me understand why some people who get pissed off decide they need to go kill a whole bunch of other people they have never met before.

Let me say this to any other potential assholes with thoughts of mass murder on their minds.

Use one fucking bullet on yourself first and save the rest of us a bunch of grief if you are that unhappy.

Seriously, just kill yourself now. Theirs is a cowardly way without honor. Eat a bullet or jump off a building. Someone will be there shortly to clean up your mess and then the rest of us will go about our business.

Shooter Identified as Aaron Alexis in Washington Navy Yard, Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters shooting: 12 dead, 1 shooter dead

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police say 12 people have died after a shooting at Washington Navy Yard on Monday morning. Police say one shooter is believed to be dead and they are now only looking for one other potential suspect.

The USA Today is reporting that law enforcement officials told them Aaron Alexis, of Fort Worth, Texas, was the shooter who was killed in the shooting on Monday morning.

At around 2:45 p.m., DC Police Tweeted that one of the possible other suspects was found, questioned and then cleared of any wrongdoing.

The white male last seen around 8:35 a.m., wearing a tan military uniform with short sleeves and beret hat has been cleared.

Police are still looking for the black male approximately 40 to 50 years old, possibly wearing a military style uniform. He is approximately 5'10" and 170 pounds with "graying sideburns," say police. Police say they did not have reason to believe they are military officials.

Police do not have a motive for the shooting.

Among the people shot are a D.C. police officer, Navy Yard base officer and civilians. They were shot inside the Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters building (Bldg. 197) at 8:20 a.m.

Watched CNN to get a laugh and was instead amazed at the stupidity coming out of Erin Burnett's mouth. Especially the comment that AR-15s can be shot with 2" accuracy at 100 yards with little training. Srsly - you can't make shit like that up, she actually reported this as fact.

Not much has been said that the AR-15 and Glock pistol used were actually taken from the facility military guard - he brought only the shotgun. Somehow, I don't see that being brought up very much, nor that the entire Washington DC area being a 'gun free zone'. I guess the shooter didn't read the signs . . .

As stated on the blogosphere, guns and ammunition prices will skyrocket again, oh joy.
