After quitting drinking and going through my legal issues i had a talk with my po and she said you never quite know if your changes are for the better. I had several years of good times taking care of Ma then came the stroke, 2 broken hips ,dementia and finally her death while i held her hand. Those last few months were hell but wouldnt give up those few precious moments for anything. Hold them while you can keep them safe its horrible to go through but that last smile and i love you lasts a lifetime
