I Learned Something Today

I love the internet!
I'm 56 years old, was a Boy Scout, think I know a little something about something and was just floored to discover a fairly easy new way to make fire.
I had never heard of Fire Rolling.

Apparently you can use just about any sturdy natural fibers, even paper towels or Hemp rope strands. The ash seems to be key here, I'm thinking this is where the actual friction comes from.

Get on Youtube and you can see all kinds of different things you can use to do this.
Here is a pretty good primer demonstration.
