Connectivity Issues, Again

Been having problems with no internet access off and on again the last few days.
One thing I discovered completely by accident that seems to help is to unplug the cable from the wall that goes to the box for a few seconds.

When I plug it back in, the box resets and it seems to work for a while. Just resetting the box doesn't have the same effect for some reason.

Irritating doesn't begin to come close.

sounds like the cable modem is going bad...if you have crapcast I mean Comcast then you should be able to have a new one sent your way free of charge.... this is of course the person on the other end of the line understands the English language and can type well enough to open a work order.

The cable company updates the firmware remotely on some of the cable modems. There are updates that can cause the intermittent connection. Call support and have them roll it back. Probably have to talk to a higher level tech to get it done since the regular techs often do not know about it.
