The first picture has too much photoshop. It makes the model look plastic. The second picture has just the right amount, enough to correct for the lighting but not enough to make it look artificial.
Check the pupils. Bottom picture - pupils are black - normal. Top picture - the pupils are white, like something out of fantasy - and the left pupil seems off center - really weird.
