Somehow the guy's sign seems ironic. Someone is using them as pawns. I'm sure he doesn't intend to be used that way. You are right. No one would cover this if someone with power didn't want it covered. Wheels within wheels.

The first story on the Today show this morning called them "tea party protesters" They couldn't bring themselves to tell the truth.
