Ben Franklin Was A Fuckin' Prophet.

I'm sure y'all are familiar with Benjamin Franklins famous quote about liberty.

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
( Tue, Nov 11, 1755)

Well our current resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave in Washington DC doesn't seem to feel the same way.

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama on Friday staunchly defended the sweeping U.S. government surveillance of Americans' phone and internet activity, calling it a "modest encroachment" on privacy that was necessary to defend the United States from attack.

Modest encroachment huh?
Is that like being just a little bit pregnant?

"Nobody is listening to your telephone calls. That's not what this program is about,"

Dude,get a fucking grip here.

"In the abstract you can complain about Big Brother and how this is a potential program run amok, but when you actually look at the details, I think we've struck the right balance," Obama said, noting that a secret federal court reviews requests for surveillance and that Congress is briefed on such activity.

He acknowledged having "a healthy skepticism" about the programs before he was first elected in 2008, but that he had since come to the conclusion that such "modest encroachments on privacy" were worth it.

"You can't have 100 percent security and also then have 100 percent privacy and zero inconvenience," Obama said. "We're going to have to make some choices as a society. ... There are trade-offs involved."

Ok, let's review shall we?
Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founders of this country and a gentleman who knew tyranny first hand;

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

Or, Barack Obama,a career politician from Chicago;

"You can't have 100 percent security and also then have 100 percent privacy and zero inconvenience,"

Umm, yeah.
In the first place you wimpy motherfucker, NO ONE will EVER be guaranteed 100% safety.
EVER.

In the second place, you should have listened to your gut.
This is a tremendous invasion of privacy in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment and you let some paranoid fucking Security Dink talk you into this.

Don't be trying to justify this with some mealy mouthed platitudes, this is an Impeachable offense dumbass.

I see now that this has been made public that they are going to go after whoever leaked it to the British Press.

I say give that Motherfucker the Medal of Freedom when you find out who it is.

And another thing, this is the last nail in the coffin of investigative journalism in this country.

I can't fucking believe we had to learn about this from a foreign press source.
The entire Main Stream Media in this country should be ashamed to show their faces in public, motherfucking government stenographers is all they are anymore.

Now we also see that our government is tapping all of our internet surfing too.

Someone needs to held accountable for this bullshit and instead of trying to find out who leaked all this out of control government spying we should be finding out who came up with it and follow that right up the chain of command and prosecute every swinging dick ever involved with this atrocity.

THAT, would be justice and a lesson to those who would trash our privacy rights in the name of National Security.

Jesus Fucking Christ this out of control government of ours is making me fucking crazy!
