What the hell difference are bigger front pockets going to make in the kitchen?

Actually the fool has a valid point. My wife's jeans have joke pockets -- they're only about 3" deep, much to shallow to be of any use. Why in the hell would clothing manufacturers do that?

Small pockets are like small hands. Both lead to some sort of insecurity that needs to be compensated for.

They have that in an over garment. It is called an apron. Deep enough pockets to put a mess of snap beans or the hem can be used to pull a skillet of cornbread out of the oven.
