(its at xenolith1964.blogspot.com, 'swipes)
These are the asshats that think its okay to put "Alto" signs on our streets rather than "STOP".
In America, we speak American. Which is a far cry from the proper King's English. Its our own amalgam of words and phrases particular to We the People. If you want to pledge allegiance to ANYTHING in this country, do it right.
For example: I pledge my allegiance to the flag. Or: I pledge allegiance to my brothers (and sisters) in the cause of liberty.
Or how about: I pledge my life, my fortunes, and my sacred honor to protect the Constitution and the freedom of Americans from tyranny?
In your house, say the pledge in Swahili if that's what floats your boat. That too is your right. But not in public school.
If you are the type that feel that burning or spitting on the Flag of the United States is simply exercising your right to free speech, than don't bitch when I feel beating you with a baseball bat is mine....Xenolithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16564452262934014420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2359657762730149804.post-45958542113834049682014-05-01T00:07:20.288-07:002014-05-01T00:07:20.288-07:00Sure it's no big deal.

But Mallory above just pissed me off.
Mr. Mallory: The Pledge promotes a feeling of patriotism in those of us who grew up saying it EVERY DAY in school. In all honesty, it may BE just a "government propaganda piece'. But it does NOT say allegiance to our government. It incites a desire in the breast of those us who love our country to stand up for her. Against our own government if that's what it takes. I love the flag of our great country, as a symbol of all we as a nation went through to promote freedom for all. And in case you don't get what I'm saying here: I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America. And to the republic, for which it stands. One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for ALL.
Amen.

Steven Vanderhoff aka XenolithXenolithhttp://xenolith1964.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2359657762730149804.post-41202126951718211552014-04-30T05:51:17.920-07:002014-04-30T05:51:17.920-07:00Bah, the pledge is nothing but a big government pr...Bah, the pledge is nothing but a big government propaganda piece written by a socialist.
