I've seen some weird shit come out of radiators after people tried "fixing" them with that "mechanic-in-a-can" crap, but it never looked anything like that....

Just something I found on the internet.
I've never seen anything like that either but one look tells me it's terminal.

look like crankcase leakage into the cooling system via crack or gasket failure

I am in the process of replacing a blown head gasket, but instead of coolant in the crankcase, I have oil in the coolant. After everything is finished, I will do a few complete flushes with a new radiator.

In my case, all I had was a brownish frothy coolant, nothing like the black sludge in the above vid. This is a mid 80's truck with a mid 70's 350.
