It's A Start

I managed to get this much done yesterday afternoon in between other projects.
That pressure canner/vacuum pump set up is downright industrial grade stuff man, it only takes a couple of minutes to pull a pretty hard vacuum . You could go through a whole bunch of jars and goods if you had two people working together, real quick.
I spent more time running back and forth to BiMart and Wally World getting crap than I did doing all this.

I had to break the spaghetti in half to make it fit in the jar but that's no biggy.

I didn't fill the jars up too full with the flour and pancake mix at first because I had read where people had problems with the fine powder getting sucked up into the vacuum pump.
After a couple of runs I didn't seem to be having that problem.

This thing is downright bitchin' and I can see where it could pretty much pay for its self if you had enough storage space or if you had a canning party.

I also dumped out 10 gallons of storage water, rinsed out the jugs and refilled them. I put a little bleach in them just because.

This is going to be one of my next projects, getting a plastic barrel and finding somewhere to put it.
I'm also going to drag my generator out and drain the gas. I'll dump it in the car and get some fresh. I'll also put some of that Stabil in it. I figure this is a good time to get some of this shit taken care of while the weather is decent enough to work outside.

Pr-G instead of Stabil.

I use it now because I have found it protects longer.

YMMV

I'll have to look for some but in the mean time I have enough Stabil to do 100 gallons.

if wanting to vacuum store spices, do "whole versions" like pepper balls, cloves, cinnamon sticks, ectra

your machine can be found at "HARBOR FRIEGHT"

barrels for water storage, look for used ones that wine got shipped in. be careful, same blue plastic barrels used also for industrial chemicals

or double line clean trash cans with tough barrel liner bags

good luck always

You should also run your generator until it's warm, and change the oil once a year.

I use Mobil 1 in my Honda.
