It's The Real Thing, Amigo!

You can talk shit about the Mexicans all you want but they have enough sense not to fuck with a good thing.

When is the last time you saw one of these?

Real Coca Cola, made with cane sugar and in a full size glass bottle.
Fuck yeah baby.
I finally went into the neighborhood Groceria a couple of weeks ago after living here four years now, and I'm tellin' ya, these people have it goin' on down there!
Fucking thing has a little bakery and a butcher shop in it no less. It looks like a little hole in the wall kind of corner market but it's in this tiny little ancient strip mall and the store actually takes up the space of three little shops going into the "L" of a 90 degree building.
It's a cornerstone of the local neighborhood obviously and you will find all things Mexican in this place. The smell of fresh donuts assaults you when you walk in and you can hear the meat saw going through bones way in the back.
It's pretty damn obvious they don't get too many Gringo's in there either.

Perfect.

I can't speak Spanish for fuck all except for a few words but they speak English well enough that we do business just fine and they are actually pretty friendly once they figure out you aren't some Puerco Norte Americano.

They have all the damn spices I can't find anywhere else and at dirt fucking cheap prices too.
I paid 79 cents for two ounces of Cumin that would have cost me four bucks at Safeway.

Of course there is absolutely no way you will ever catch my wife in there but after living in San Jose all those years ago
I really miss my Mexican grocerias man.
She can keep going to Wally World because she won't let me do any of the grocery shopping but I have news for her. Not only have I found this outfit, earlier today I finally went into the local Cash and Carry. They do wholesale goods for restaurants and shit.
You can buy goods by the case and 50 pound bag if you want. I found a couple of items I want to try that come ina #10 can. That's kind of big so I want to make sure it's good so when I finally do open it, that it won't go to waste.
They also sell Bar and Kitchen goods and hardware items.
I'll be going back down there fairly soon because I want to get an Industrial Strength manual can opener instead of the absolute fucking garbage for sale everywhere else I go looking for one, if you can even find one at all.
I'm going to get two because two is one and one is none when it comes to that kind of thing in an emergency.

Who knows, maybe it will be Hecho en Mexico too.

I've Got Shit Goin' On

That means I don't have time for Blogging right now.
Everywhere I turn, I see bad fuckin' shit coming down the pike of one flavor or another. Some of it I can dodge maybe, some I see heading straight at me.

I have been letting normalcy bias lull me against my better judgement.

It might not be much at first blush but it is still more than 95% of what the rest of the idiots in this country are doing.
A little here and a little there, trying to cover some bases using what I have to work with.

Break time is over, time to get back at it.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a Camel Toe.

Houston, You Have A Problem (Updated)

Shooting a Sheriff's deputy execution style in front of witnesses takes a lot of balls.

That town is going to be virtually crawling with law enforcement of every description until they find this guy.
My guess is it won't take too long either.

Deputy shot and killed while pumping gas in Houston

HOUSTON — Harris County Sheriff's Deputy Darren Goforth was brutally gunned down while at a northwest Harris County gas station Friday evening, Sheriff Ron Hickman said.

Goforth was walking out of a Chevron gas station when a suspect approached him and shot him multiple times, Hickman said. Goforth had stopped at the gas station to fill up his patrol car.

Goforth, 47, was a 10-year veteran with the sheriff's office, working the west district patrol division. He leaves behind a wife and two children.

"It appears to be an unprovoked, execution-style killing of a police officer," Hickman said. "It strikes us all at the heart of public service. … We will hunt this person down and do our best to bring him to justice."

Hickman said in his 45 years of law enforcement, he can't recall another incident "this cold blooded and cowardly."

According to Hickman, Goforth had finished investigating a traffic accident about 30 minutes before he was killed. Hickman said it doesn't appear there was any connection between the traffic investigation and the shooting.

Sheriff's officials believe the suspect is a dark-skinned male who's about 5-feet 10-inches or 6-feet tall, 20-25 years old, wearing a white t-shirt and red shorts. Officials believe he fled the scene in a red- or maroon-colored Ford pickup truck, possibly an extended Ford Ranger. He was last seen traveling westbound on West Road.

UPDATE,
Trevat in the comments tells me the alleged perp has been apprehended.

I didn't think it would take too long .

Heinz Bacon Recall

Who buys Turkey Bacon anyway?
The way I see it, you have Bacon and you have Turkey.
The two are supposed to be mutually exclusive.
The only time you should ever see those two words together is Turkey and Bacon Sandwich.

Kraft Heinz is recalling 2 million pounds of bad bacon

Here’s how to tell if your breakfast is affected

Kraft Heinz is recalling more than 2 million pounds of turkey bacon that can prematurely spoil, it was announced Tuesday.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture said that 2,068,467 pounds of Oscar Mayer turkey bacon “may be adulterated because it may spoil before the ‘Best When Used By’ date.” Kraft Heinz discovered the problem after it received “spoilage-related consumer complaints,” the USDA said.
The affected turkey bacon was packaged between May 31 and August 6 of this year, and the affected products are: Oscar Mayer “Selects Uncured Turkey Bacon” bearing the plant number P-9070, the line number RS19 and Product UPC 0 4470007633 0; Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon “Smoked Cured Turkey Chopped and Formed” bearing the plant number P-9070, the line number RS19 and Product UPC 0 7187154874 8; and Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon “Smoked Cured Turkey Chopped and Formed” bearing the plant number P-9070, the line number RS19 and Product UPC 0 7187154879 3.
This is a Class II recall, which is the middle level of three types and is defined as “a health hazard situation where there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences from the use of the product.” But even if you think you’ve purchased or eaten the bad bacon, fear not: the recall is classified as having low health risk.

Dow Drops 1,000 points, Regains Half That, "This Is A Normal Thing" Says Analyst

Sure it's normal, it happens every time the bottom falls out.

Dow recovers dramatically from opening dive of more than 1,000 points

The U.S. stock market had a wild Monday morning in response to another sell-off in China and other major countries, with the Dow Jones industrial average first plunging more than 1,000 points before surging back to trim its losses.
The blue-chip industrials were off about 115 points, or 0.7%, at 16,350 after skidding as much as 1,089 points moments after the opening bell.

Nonetheless, the average has dropped nearly 7% in the last week and nearly 11% from its record high of 18,312.39 set on May 19.
Other key U.S. indexes also tumbled Monday into so-called correction territory — a decline of 10% or more — over the three days.

The benchmark Standard & Poor’s 500 index was down about 19 points, or 1%, in midday to about 1,950.
The Nasdaq composite index also was off about 19 points, or 0.4%, in midday to about 4,680.
Chris Hardt, a financial advisor at Edward Jones, has been telling clients that Monday morning’s pullback is not unusual.
“The market will pull back 10% about once a year on average,” he said. “This is a normal thing.”

But wait! It Gets Even Better!

Today's stock market drops worldwide afford further evidence that the past decade has been China's 'Roaring '20s' -- and that the chickens are now coming home to roost," said Cornell Law School professor Robert Hockett, an expert in financial and monetary law.

"China's emerging middle class has taken on huge quantities of private debt in recent years to buy everything from real estate to stocks," he said. "The result has been a sequence of classic credit-fueled asset price bubbles much like those experienced by the U.S. in the 1920s and early 2000s.

"Now that asset prices have leveled off and reversed, millions of Chinese are faced with the prospect of owing more on their debts than their assets are worth -- just like U.S. investors and homeowners before them."
Snip

The sell-off occurred despite an announcement by China’s Cabinet on Sunday that authorities would allow pension funds managed by local governments to invest in the market, potentially providing a boost worth hundreds of billions of dollars.

My bold.

NOW the Chinese people are fucked liked the rest of us.

This is exactly the kind of shit that got the entire world in trouble.

The Spin Meisters are all telling us to remain calm, yet they know damn good and well the whole thing is blowing up in their faces.
Who ya gonna believe, professional gamblers or your own lying eyes?

Wait For The Ripple Effect To Hit Today

I just checked the Asian Stock Markets over at Bloomberg and every, single, one of them is losing ground in a big way.

Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Laos, Viet Nam, Singapore, Japan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, all of them are in negative territory. Some hit double digit losses.

I can hardly wait to see what is going to happen on Wall Street later today.

What may well soon be coming are the beginnings of something the likes of which this planet has never seen before.

Boston’s 2015 Gun Buyback Nets Just One Firearm

It's hard to type when you are laughing hysterically.

So, maybe some folks in The Peoples Republic of Massachusetts finally wised up?

The reason I am laughing so hard besides the fact that they only got one?
Read the last line in the article, the emphasis is mine.

After a windfall of more than 400 firearms collected in 2014, Boston’s “Your Piece for Peace” gun buyback campaign netted just one firearm this year. According to city officials, the program is still funded and active, but participation has taken a noticeable dip despite a push by Mayor Martin J. Walsh to highlight the program. In an interview with The Boston Herald, Walsh pointed to a lack of promotion as the reason behind the program’s low yield.

“We need people to know that the gun buyback program is still in process,” Walsh said. “We’ve never ended it. So we’re going to continue to push that out there, and having more information out there letting them know that the program is still in existence, it’s a good thing.”

The Boston Police Department revived its gun buyback program early last year on a $100,000 budget. The goal of the program was to take illegal or homemade guns off the streets, in theory reducing the amount of urban gun-related violence in the city. Participants were enticed with $200 Visa gift cards and directed to deliver the guns in sealed, clear bags. The guns should be unloaded. Participants were also protected from prosecution for the ownership of illegally owned guns, unless they were directly connected to a crime.

With this strategy, the Boston Police Department netted over 400 firearms. Many of these guns were homemade, old, or battered to the point of being unusable. Still, officials touted the program as a win and compared it to previous gun buybacks, such as the one in 2006, when officials collected over 1,000 firearms in exchange for Target gift cards.
Research from several studies found that buyback programs were either largely ineffective at reducing crime, or had only the slightest of impacts. In contrast, the Boston Police Department regularly seizes firearms from criminals, which has a much more significant impact. The Herald reported that the Boston Police Department confiscated 417 firearms in total this year—including the one turned in for a gift card.

You couldn't make this shit up.

Start Handing Out The Crying Towels

Because you know, this is just going to break everyone's heart.

World’s Richest People Lose $182 Billion in Market Rout

The world’s 400 richest people lost $182 billion this week from their collective fortunes as weak manufacturing data from China and a rout in commodities sent global markets plunging.

The weekly drop for the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a group that includes Warren Buffett and Glencore Plc’s Ivan Glasenberg, was the biggest since tracking of the expanded list began in September 2014. The combined net worth of the index members fell by $76 billion on Friday alone, when the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index of U.S. stocks ended its worst week since 2011.

“For them that’s a fractional percentage, even though $182 billion is a big number,” said John Collins, director of investment advisory at Aspiriant, which oversees more than $8 billion for high net worth clients. “A week like this feels really bad, but when you take a step back, in a big picture view it’s not a disaster by any means.”

Friday’s losses put the world’s richest 400 into the red for the year to date. They’re now down $74 billion in 2015, with a collective net worth of $3.98 trillion.

My emphasis.
So, 400 people have a net worth of almost 4 TRILLION dollars and here Bloomberg is sobbing into their Kleenex that they lost basically chump change?

Remaining Government Stock of WWII M1911’s Handguns to Be Sold Off to The Public…..

In a roundabout way, it's not like you will get one very easily.

Still, it's encouraging to know they will be available and not destroyed like the gun grabbers would want.

The upcoming National Defense Authorization Act that passed committee includes a plan to transfer the U.S. Army’s remaining stock of .45 ACP 1911A1 pistols to the Civilian Marksmanship Program.

Added as an amendment by Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Alabama, while the NDAA was in debate in the House Armed Service Committee, it could see potentially the largest remaining stock of military surplus World War II-era handguns in government hands sold to the public.

“As a gun owner and strong believer in the Second Amendment, my proposal is a common-sense approach to eliminating an unnecessary cost to the Federal government while allowing the very capable CMP to handle the sale of these vintage firearms that otherwise would just sit in storage,” Rogers said in a statement.

The lawmaker disclosed that the military currently spends about $2 per year to store 100,000 Model 1911s that are surplus to the Army’s needs. While 8,300 have been sold or disposed of in recent years – largely through the controversial Department of Defense’s 1033 Program, which offers eligible law enforcement agencies up to one pistol per full-time officer – the guns still on hand have in many cases been stored since the 1980s when they were withdrawn from service in favor of the then-new Beretta 92F (M9).

The amendment would authorize the CMP, currently just limited to selling .30-caliber and .22-caliber rifles, to receive and sell any surplus military firearm. It would not cover any surplus 1911s held by other branches such as the Navy and Air Force, or those that may linger in federal law enforcement service. The Army guns are stored at the Anniston Army Depot, in a district which Roger’s represents and is coincidentally co-located to the CMP’s regional warehouse and store, which would minimize the logistics of a transfer.

“This amendment is a win – win for the taxpayer. I was pleased the amendment passed the committee and appreciate the support my colleagues on this proposal,” Rogers said.

The CMP is a federally chartered non-profit corporation tasked with promoting firearms safety training and rifle practice. It originated as the Office of the Director of Civilian Marksmanship in 1903 under orders from Congress to improve the country’s marksmanship skills to minimize training in case of war. Split off from the U.S. Army under the Clinton-administration in 1996, it still conducts training courses and holds shooting competitions nationwide but draws its primary source of funding through the sale of surplus firearms to qualifying members of the public which were donated to the organization by the Army.

2 U.S. Marines stop Islamist attacker on train in France

Good on ya boys.
No word on whether or not they kicked the living shit out of him for his trouble but one can certainly hope so.

Official: 2 U.S. Marines stop Islamist attacker on train in France

(CNN)A massacre on a high-speed train in France was prevented Friday when two U.S. Marines in civilian clothing surprised an Islamist militant, a senior European counterterrorism official told CNN.

The suspect was loading his automatic Kalashnikov rifle in a toilet when the two Marines confronted him, the source said.

The gunman fired on the Marines with a handgun, the official said, wounding at least one of them. Three people were injured aboard the Thalys train traveling from Amsterdam to Paris, authorities said.

The Marines overpowered the suspect, who was placed under arrest when the train was rerouted to the town of Arras, about 115 miles (185 kilometers) north of Paris. One of the Marines was wounded, the Pentagon said.

The gunman, a Moroccan national, was on the radar screen of European counterterrorism agencies for his radical jihadist views, the official said.

A second security source told CNN the gunman was known by French intelligence. The official said it appeared the gunman was sympathetic to ISIS, but a full determination on his specific loyalties had yet to be reached.

The man had plenty of ammunition, the first official said, and the Marines prevented a massacre.

The attack has not officially been classified as an act of terrorism, although the senior European counterterrorism official indicated it was suspected.

Calling the attack "an attack of barbaric violence," Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said the anti-terrorism prosecutor's office in Paris will investigate.

HA HA HA HA! START JUMPING YOU FUCKERS!

The more the better too.

Stock market plummets more than 530 points, its worst one-day drop since 2008

U.S. stocks fell sharply for the second straight day Friday along with major indexes worldwide as continued worries about the slowdown of China’s economy and the devaluation of its currency weighed on traders.

The blue-chip Dow Jones industrial average plummeted 530.94 points -- its worst one-day drop since November 2008 -- to 16,459.75.

Its losses over the last three months stood at about 10%, the key mark that analysts consider a correction -- and that some have said is overdue in the long-running bull market.

The sharp decline comes after major U.S. indexes had their worst day in 18 months on Thursday. By early afternoon in New York, the Dow had fallen more than 2.5% for the day, and the Standard & Poor's 500 and the Nasdaq were down even more.

Investors are jittery over a slowing Chinese economy. Last week, the economic juggernaut devalued its currency, and the country’s stock market has endured a massive sell-off in the last two months.

On Friday, a preliminary measure of Chinese factory output dropped to a 6½-year low.

Other factors also have weighed on stocks, including an uncertain outlook for U.S. interest rates and the resignation of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

Excuses, excuses, excuses.

It could be the wind changed direction or someone walked under a ladder, who the fuck cares anymore?

This is just the beginning kiddies, the FED's will swoop in and kiss all the Boo Boo's and make it all better on Monday.

They pwomise!

Riiiiight.

The Best Sixty Bucks I Ever Spent

Posting may be even lighter than normal to non existent in the next couple of days.
Tomorrow is my anniversary and the wifely unit and I are going over to Troutdale to Edgefield Manor for a couple of days.

She tried to make reservations months ago for two days but could only get one and we were staring the unpleasant prospects of having to drive forty miles to spend the second night at another McMinnemans hotel.
She loves the damn things and we travel all over the place staying at them through out the year.

Luckily someone finally cancelled just yesterday so we get both nights now at Edgefield.

It's quite the place if you have never been there.
It was the Multnomah County Poor House back in the twenties and thirties just outside of Portland Or.

Now it's a huge hotel with vineyards, soaking pool, about six different bars and a real nice restaurant. There is even a par 3 , nine holer there for you golf people.
People come from all over the world to stay there and that is where we spent our honeymoon.

It's a funky place now with Hippy type art work all over the place and you can wander all over the whole thing with a drink in your hand if you want.
They make their own whiskey and beer right on the premises.

Inside you can wander around and see shit like this all over, this is on a pipe joint for the sprinkler system up near the ceiling, they are all over the place. The rooms are named after the people who lived there back in the day and there are little snippets of what they did and what they like stenciled on the walls inside.

Best of all there aren't any damn television sets, anywhere.

We were talking about our anniversary last night and my wife turns to me and asks if I remember how much I paid for our marriage license, there is quite the story behind that by its self but I thought about it and told her i thought it was about sixty bucks.

She looked at me and said, "Yeah, that's the best sixty bucks you ever spent".

I can't argue that.
She is a good woman and I am a very lucky man to have found someone who can put up with my ornery ass, which she does without batting an eye.

I will be taking my laptop which irritates her no end so it's a twofer for me.

So, I'll see ya's when I see's ya.

Legendary Nazi Treasure Train Possibly Found In Poland

At first glance I'm sure everyone is going yeah, yeah, right.

The fact that the two guys claiming to have found it immediately went and got lawyers to claim 10% of the loot gives one a bit of pause though.

Nazi gold train 'found in Poland'

Two people in Poland say they may have found a Nazi train rumoured to be full of gold, gems and guns that disappeared in World War Two, Polish media say.

The train is believed to have gone missing near what is now the Polish city of Wroclaw as Soviet forces approached in 1945.

A law firm in south-west Poland says it has been contacted by two men who have discovered the armoured train.

Polish media say the men want 10% of the value of the train's contents.

Local news websites said the apparent find matched reports in local folklore of a train carrying gold and gems that went missing at the end of World War Two near Ksiaz castle.

The claim was made to a law office in Walbrzych, 3km (2 miles) from Ksiaz castle.

"Lawyers, the army, the police and the fire brigade are dealing with this," Marika Tokarska, an official at the Walbrzych district council, told Reuters.

"The area has never been excavated before and we don't know what we might find."

I guess all we can do is wait and see now.

You have to pay attention to the very end .

Then you will know as much and understand as much as the experts.

Brace For Impact

That global financial armageddon that has been getting kicked down the road by every means possible since before 2007 is finally at the official runaway train  station.

Very. Bad. Things. are getting ready to rain down on this entire planet financially and there isn't Jack Shit anyone can do about it anymore.

That nagging feeling of doom that has been dogging my ass for months now has become a wailing Banshee inside my head lately and I guess it will soon be time to see where it all shakes out

Doomsday clock for global market crash strikes one minute to midnight as central banks lose control

China currency devaluation signals endgame leaving equity markets free to collapse under the weight of impossible expectations.

When the banking crisis crippled global markets seven years ago, central bankers stepped in as lenders of last resort. Profligate private-sector loans were moved on to the public-sector balance sheet and vast money-printing gave the global economy room to heal.

Time is now rapidly running out. From China to Brazil, the central banks have lost control and at the same time the global economy is grinding to a halt. It is only a matter of time before stock markets collapse under the weight of their lofty expectations and record valuations.

The FTSE 100 has now erased its gains for the year, but there are signs things could get a whole lot worse.

Go read the rest, they have the usual graphs and charts these people like to use but make no mistake about what they are saying out loud for the first time that I can remember,
The whole scheme is getting ready to unravel.

China was the glue holding the whole thing together and they have pretty much thrown in the towel.

I am certainly not looking forward to what is soon going to follow but there is one thing that I am really hoping to see come of it.

A whole shit load of dead bankers and investment scamming bastards.

Mozilla Testing True Browser Stealth Mode That Blocks Trackers

Good.
Oh, and Google?
Fuck you.

Motherfuckers.

Ever noticed how if you have been browsing around and then go check GMail and all of a sudden there are ads up at the top trying to sell you the same shit you were just looking at somewhere completely unrelated?

Um, yeah, fuck you again Google.
They have been doing that shit for years.

Maybe Firefox et al can finally get rid of that bit of nastiness.

I have been using some kind of Cookie killer that is absolutely astounding. Your jaw would hit the floor if you knew how many cookies are keeping track of you through out the day.
This thing is constantly throwing up little messages telling me how many cookies it just killed and I am talking HUNDREDS.

Mozilla tests a true stealth mode for Firefox

Mozilla wants to make private browsing truly private.
The company is testing enhancements to private browsing in Firefox designed to block website elements that could be used by third parties to track browsing behavior across sites. Most major browsers, Firefox included, have a “Do Not Track” option, though many companies do not honor it.

Mozilla’s experimental tool is designed to block outside parties like ad networks or analytics companies from tracking users through cookies and browser fingerprinting.
It’s available in the Firefox Developer Edition on Windows, Mac and Linux, and Firefox Aurora on Android, Mozilla said Friday.
The tool is in prebeta, although it might be incorporated into future versions of Firefox’s main browser.
The tool might cause some data-hungry websites to not load properly, Mozilla said. Users can unblock specific websites if they wish.
The enhancements also better identify unsafe browser add-ons that could install malware or collect user information.
“We’ve worked with developers and created a process that attempts to verify that add-ons installed in Firefox meet the guidelines and criteria we’ve developed to ensure they’re safer for you,” Mozilla said in a blog post.
Web tracking provides fuel to the lucrative business of targeted ads. A recent report showed that the usage of ad-blocking software is on the rise, costing publishers billions of dollars.
Other browser extensions designed to block tracking and targeted ads include Ghostery and AdBlock Plus.
The Electronic Frontier Foundation, meanwhile, is trying to develop a new standard for the “Do Not Track” browser setting to make it more effective.

Hillary Covered In Feathers As Chickens Come Home To Roost

Sure is awful quiet over in that camp.

I wonder why that is?

Maybe because they are in disaster recovery mode?

Hillary Clinton has big trouble now and everybody knows it, someone finally found that magic bucket of water it seems.

Intelligence community wants Clinton’s security clearance suspended

Security experts say that if Hillary Rodham Clinton retained her government security clearance when she left the State Department, as is normal practice, it should be suspended now that it is known her unprotected private email server contained top secret material.

snip

Of course one of her fellow coven members piped right up trying to cover her ass,

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate intelligence committee, said Thursday there is no evidence Mrs. Clinton herself sent classified information and that the emails now under scrutiny were not marked classified at the time she sent them.

She said, as someone who regularly handles classified material herself, the emails she’s seen don’t indicate that they were classified, suggesting that Mrs. Clinton wasn’t breaking any rules by handling that information on an email server she set up herself at her home in New York, rather than using the State Department’s regular system.

“Every official who writes classified material, whether in email or on paper, must mark the information as classified,” Mrs. Feinstein, California Democrat, said in a statement released by her congressional office. “They would also be required to use a separate classified email system to transmit the information. The emails identified did not contain these markings.”

Pretty weak tea there. Ms. Frankenstein needs to STFU because the facts, I believe, are going to show different.

As a matter of fact, she needs to STFU just on general principle because I can't stand her ass.
The old crone needs to go back to poisoning apples.

The fact that they weren't marked as classified could be another nail in the coffin, did ya think of that ya crotchety old bitch?

Ah well, birds of a feather and all that happy horseshit.

It doesn't matter what that old cunt has to say anyway, this is way past her now, some serious digging has commenced by people who will lay out the facts, party afillation be damned.

As a matter of fact, this next item could very well be the Death Blow to Hillary's campaign.

Agents are acting on a referral from I. Charles McCullough III, the inspector general for the intelligence community. In a sampling of 40 of Mrs. Clinton’s 30,000 emails turned over to the State Department, he found four that contained classified data. He believes hundreds of additional emails also contain secrets.

On Tuesday, the scandal deepened, as Mr. McCullough sent a memo to the House and Senate intelligence committees that said two emails contained top secret information that was compartmentalized as Special Intelligence (SI) and Talent Keyhole (TK). The two codes mean that the material came from communications intercepts of a foreign target and also from military spy satellites. Such data are considered the crown jewels of intelligence, for which access is greatly restricted.

Intelligence officials are aghast it sat in Mrs. Clinton’s at-home server, susceptible to hacking by adversaries such as China and Russia.

My emphasis.

I won't be holding my breath waiting for Feinstein to explain that away.

Hillary either.

Does anyone else smell something burning?

California Won't Be Dry Much Longer

If my experience with El Nino is any indicator, what they are talking about here means non stop Pineapple Express.

That means massive flooding can be expected down in the land of Commiefornia this winter.

Latest forecast suggests 'Godzilla El Niño' may be coming to California

The strengthening El Niño in the Pacific Ocean has the potential to become one of the most powerful on record, as warming ocean waters surge toward the Americas, setting up a pattern that could bring once-in-a-generation storms this winter to drought-parched California.
The National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center said Thursday that all computer models are now predicting a strong El Niño to peak in the late fall or early winter. A host of observations have led scientists to conclude that “collectively, these atmospheric and oceanic features reflect a significant and strengthening El Niño.”
Read all about the California drought >>
“This definitely has the potential of being the Godzilla El Niño,” said Bill Patzert, a climatologist with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Cañada Flintridge.

El Nino: 1997 vs. 2015

At the moment, this year’s El Niño is stronger than it was at this time of year in 1997. Areas in red and white represent the highest sea-surface heights above the average, which are a reflection of how warm sea-surface temperatures are above the average. (Source: NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory climatologist Bill Patzert)
Patzert said El Niño’s signal in the ocean “right now is stronger than it was in 1997,” the summer in which the most powerful El Niño on record developed.
“Everything now is going to the right way for El Niño,” Patzert said. “If this lives up to its potential, this thing can bring a lot of floods, mudslides and mayhem.”
“This could be among the strongest El Niños in the historical record dating back to 1950,” said Mike Halpert, deputy director of the Climate Prediction Center.
After the summer 1997 El Niño muscled up, the following winter gave Southern California double its annual rainfall and dumped double the snowpack in the Sierra Nevada, an essential source of precipitation for the state’s water supply, Patzert said.

I would suggest taking appropriate measures now.

Even though I live considerably farther North, we still get hammered by these weather patterns with huge storms slamming directly into the coast 100 miles away that bring fierce winds and buckets of rainfall all at once.

If I was a betting man, and I am, I would bet that the monstrous Columbus Day storm that wreaked havoc here in the Pacific Northwest back in October of 1962 was a direct result of a then unnamed El Nino weather pattern.

Get your foul weather gear ready kiddies.

Yer Gonna Need A Bigger Boat

I'm thinking a Destroyer, at the very least.

Look at the size of this damn shark!

When you’re that big, humans are fun size snacks that only make you hungrier. The shark in the video, recorded by marine biologist Mauricio Hoyos Padilla, is the famous Deep Blue. It’s 20 feet long (and maybe pregnant!) and is one of the biggest sharks ever caught on film.

There is a video at the link, if you dare.

Learning To Say Holy Fucking Shit In Chinese

Watch this shit.

Dayuuuum, that was a big blast, reminds me of that fertilizer plant down in Texas last year.

What they are reporting is that at least 300 people were injured, I would have to think there ain't enough left of some to identify, just a brief pink mist where they were standing.

DOD Repo'ing Two Humvee's From Ferguson P.D.

There is a whole bunch of fisking going on in this article from what I see.

DOD apparently gave them to a Missouri weapons distributor who gave them to Ferguson, who already had two, then DOD "lost" the paperwork and are now taking them back to give to someone else. At least that's what I got out of it.

Sounds to me like someone is getting singled out and spanked too.

There are some interesting facts about how all this military equipment that Obama said he was going to cut back on giving to these guys is still being handed out like candy except there is just more Red Tape involved.

Pentagon officials said they ordered Ferguson to return the two vehicles in June this year after discovering in a data review that the city had been given twice as many Humvees in 2013 under the so-called “1033” equipment transfer program as they had previously known, without proper federal authorisation.

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2015/jun/01/the-counted-police-killings-us-database?CMP=ons_b-richmapper

“The Ferguson police department officially has two Humvees on their books; the state coordinators provided the police department two more Humvees without following the proper transfer protocol,” Mark Wright, a spokesman for the Defense Department, said in a statement.

But this was denied by Missouri law enforcement officials, who in effect operate a warehouse for federal military equipment and act as broker between the Pentagon and municipalities in the state that are seeking it. The state officials said the Pentagon did give permission for Ferguson to have four Humvees before “losing the records” for two of them. Wright, the Pentagon spokesman, did not immediately respond to this claim.

Officials said Ferguson initially told the Pentagon they wanted to appeal against the decision to take back the vehicles, but this was rejected by the Defense Department. “So we’re going to go down with a trailer and truck and get them on an expedited basis,” said Mike O’Connell, the communications director for the Missouri department of public safety, which acts as the go-between with the US government in the equipment transfer program.

Wright said the two additional Humvees may be assigned to another law enforcement agency in Missouri after being returned by Ferguson. He said Ferguson was not being terminated or suspended from the 1033 program and could make future applications. The city is home to only 21,000 people and has a police department comprising about 55 officers, leading many critics to question the need for an arsenal of military-style equipment.

There is much more at the link.

Give it a read.

COOL!!

Literally, in this case.

I have been needing/wanting/whining about a new radiator for my little Sprite project now for three fucking years.
I have had the money on several different occasions but there has always been something that we needed it for that was more important.

The original one had been repaired more than once and was basically junk. As a matter of fact, I must have decided that I need some incentive to get a new one some time in the past and threw it out because I can't even find it.
I get that way sometimes, I am a huge Pack Rat and have damn near enough parts for this thing to build another one but not one of those.

Our Fourth Anniversary is coming up and my lovely and quite dangerous wife finally took pity on my sorry ass and told me to shut the hell up about it and order the damn thing.
Not exactly in those words but I got the drift.

Most British parts outfits want anywhere from $165 to $250 for what is basically a big heater core depending if they have any sales going on.

If you notice, there is no radiator cap on the damn thing, being British and all, they did things a little bit different and added a Brass overflow tank off to the side that looks just like a fucking canteen that has the radiator cap on it.

I have one of those but there are other options out there after all these years and I just bought the best there is.

All Aluminum 2 core with a radiator cap on it off Ebay for $155 with FREE shipping.

The cheapest I could find, even those range from that price clear up to $250, even from the same seller.

I am going to have to fabricate some mounts as my car has been modified but that will be easy.
Next after that is to get an electric fan for the damn thing, the original plastic fan is a joke, these things were notorious for overheating for a good reason.

After that I need to get a replacement fuel pump that doesn't pump so much gas that it over powers the needles and seats in the float bowls.

One step closer, this has been driving me crazy for years now and I want to get it done and get rid of the damn thing.
They are a blast to drive and a nightmare to own.
It's long past time someone else as stupid as I am takes over messing with it.

The End Of The World As We Know It Is Happening Before Our Very Eyes

Unfortunately, Normalcy Bias is blinding us to the facts.

Mosby over at Mountain Guerrila has a lengthy post up that I highly recommend you go read.

The truth can be painful at times and I can certainly see myself in what he talks about, as will some of the rest you.

A couple of snippets, you really should go read the whole thing to put it into his true perspective.

TEOTWAWKI…For Real
For most of us, of a, shall I say, “certain age,” normal is defined as the America we recognize from our youth and young adulthood. That America is gone, as most of us recognize. The denial in question isn’t that. The denial is expecting that “normal” as we define it is going to return.

Normalcy bias, in this instance, is the belief that TEOTWAWKI will be heralded by some obvious, major catalyst, like an EMP or the declaration of martial law by the government. Ignoring the absolute, absurd impossibility of effective martial law in the United States, as a whole, think about the actual definition of TEOTWAWKI. It’s HERE, NOW, and denying it is normalcy bias.

TEOTWAWKI is here folks and I for one have had a persistent and overbearing sense that "bad things are coming" hammering inside my head for several months now that is getting louder and louder.

I think it's time to sit down and have a long conversation with myself about just how I am going to respond to the crisis staring us in the face. We can't afford to be walking around with blinders on anymore.

The United States of America is dead as we knew it and now it is time to start going about life with the full realization that it's not coming back and that we are in fact, minorities now in our own country.

Living in the FUSA from here on out is going to get more tactical every day.
No more can one just go about their business without being aware that there exists the possibility that one may just run into a situation that requires an instant life or death decision. Just getting pulled over by a nervous cop for a license plate light being out can get you dead these days.

Personally, I know in my heart that I am not even close to being where I should be even after years of knowing it was coming.

The learning curve is going to be steep and the writing is on the wall now.

You can quit wondering if it is going to be quick or a long slow slide, TEOTWAWKI is here folks, best get squared away for it ASAP.

H/T to Mike for the link, I had Mosby on the blogroll but a few months ago had a major malfunction on the blog and he somehow got removed. That has been rectified.

Give Him A Very Short, Fair Trial. Then Fry His Ass.

People like this guy is why we have the Death Penalty.
His proven record shows that he is a violent re-offender and now he has by his own admission, executed 8 people including children by shooting them in the back of the head.

Have him dig a hole then return the favor.

HOUSTON — David Conley told Harris County Sheriff's investigators that he broke into his former home and killed eight people because the woman he formerly lived with had changed the locks on the doors, according to a Harris County prosecutor.

During probably cause court Sunday, a prosecutor recounted Conley's statement to investigators that he broke into the home Saturday through an open window after Valerie Jackson changed the locks. The prosecutor went on to say Conley, 48, then told investigators that he restrained eight people inside, including Jackson and a 6-year-old boy, and shot them in the back of the head.

Doctors at the scene of the 2200 block of Falling Oaks, near Veterans Memorial and Fallbrook Drive, said all eight victims suffered gunshot wounds to the head and died at the scene.

Someone needs to get a hold of the folks over at Blacklivesmatter so they can go have a chat with the alleged perp.

The Ultimate Argument For Term Limits In One Pictute

This is what's wrong with the political system in this country, these people spend all their time whoring themselves out to get re-elected and then doing their donors bidding.
You do not even exist in their world except as pawns to be used in their little power trips.

Support The Troops!

Then kill them with massive drug overdoses after they get home and go to the VA.

This is textbook criminally negligent homicide.

TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) -
A Marine veteran died because of a series of failures at the Tomah VA Medical Center, according to a report from the VA Office of Inspector General (OIG) released Friday.
Jason Simcakoski, 35, died at the Tomah VA Medical Center Aug. 30, 2014. The medical examiner determined the cause of death was mixed drug toxicity.
The OIG launched an investigation into the death of Simcakoski at the request of Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Sen. Ron Johnson.
The OIG enlisted the services of a non-VA forensic toxicologist, who agreed with the medical examiner's cause of death.
The investigation determined that Simcakoski died in the facility, and he was prescribed a mix of medications with the potential to cause respiratory depression. The report from the OIG shows that in the 72 hours before Simcakoski passed, he was given 54 doses of 13 different drugs.
Tomah VA staff said the facility is learning from this tragedy.
The Simcakoski family is just glad they finally have some closure.
"We accept responsibility for any action or in action that contributed to this young man's death," said Acting Tomah VA Medical Director John Rohrer.
Rohrer said Simcakoski's death was avoidable but said the Tomah VA will learn from it and provide better care to veterans from here on out in his memory.
Simcakoski's parents said that's all they want.
"It takes something bad usually to make something good happen. Unfortunately, it was our son for this, but hopefully, we'll be able to save a lot of other veterans out there in the future from this," Jason Simcakoski's father, Marv, said.
The OIG report found that Tomah VA staff prescribed drugs, which, when combined, most likely led to his death. One of the drugs is called Suboxone. The report found that the Veteran's Health Administration requires written informed consent for administering "hazardous" drugs. The OIG investigation did not find any evidence of written informed consent. Both psychiatrists involved in the ordering of the "hazardous" drug given to Jason Simcakoski acknowledged they did not discuss the risks with him.
"You have to talk to that patient, say, 'You know, this is the risks with this,' and get them to sign the consent so they know what they're going into," Marv Simcakoski said.
The report said Suboxone should only be taken once a day, but Jason Simcakoski received it three times in 24 hours.
The medications were prescribed by the treating psychiatrists at the facility. The forensic toxicologist said it can't be ruled out that Jason Simcakoski received an additional drug that was not noted in the report.

Amatuer Radio Enthusiast Calls Space Station From His Shed In England And Gets A Response

How freakin' cool is that?!

An amateur radio enthusiast managed to get a quick chat with the International Space Station (ISS) after a month of trying to get through from his shed.

Adrian Lane, of Gloucestershire, sent out a call signal to the ISS and was "stunned" when he received a reply.

He said: "They came back to me and said, 'Receiving you - welcome aboard the International Space Station'."

Mr Lane, from Coleford, and a US astronaut chatted for about 45 seconds before the station went out of range.

He had been trying to "catch the ISS on a pass" when he finally got through at the end of a four-minute "contact window".
'Over so quickly'

"It was a very hectic time on the bands, people were trying hard to get through," he said.

"So, I just sat back and waited until the main stream calling had died down a little bit and gave them a call and they came back to me."

With the "adrenaline pumping", Mr Lane said he had to think of a response fast because "these guys are moving away from you all the time".

"I asked him what the stars looked like from up there and he came back to me and said with no atmosphere up here the stars are really bright," he said.

"But he told me when you look down on earth it's something else - it's just a mass of colour where everything else up here is black."

Although Mr Lane said he had been "really chuffed", he said it was "a shame it was over so quickly".

"It's quite an achievement, especially when you consider he's flying over the top of me at 17,500 mph," he said.

"I don't know if I'll ever do it again but will still be trying."

Just one more stellar example of why the media in this country sucks donkey balls.

What Does It Matter?

The more shit they pile on this woman, the better.

FBI investigation of Hillary’s emails is ‘criminal probe’

The FBI investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s unsecured email account is not just a fact-finding venture — it’s a criminal probe, sources told The Post on Wednesday.
The feds are investigating to what extent Clinton relied on her home server and other private devices to send and store classified documents, according to a federal source with knowledge of the inquiry.
“It’s definitely a criminal probe,” said the source. “I’m not sure why they’re not calling it a criminal probe.
“The DOJ [Department of Justice] and FBI can conduct civil investigations in very limited circumstances,” but that’s not what this is, the source stressed. “In this case, a security violation would lead to criminal charges. Maybe DOJ is trying to protect her campaign.”
Clinton’s camp has downplayed the inquiry as civil and fact-finding in nature. Clinton herself has said she is “confident” that she never knowingly sent or received anything that was classified via her private email account.
But the inspector general for the intelligence community has told Congress that of 40 Clinton emails randomly reviewed as a sample of her correspondence as secretary of state, four contained classified information.
If it is proved that Clinton knowingly sent, received or stored classified information in an unauthorized location, she risks prosecution under the same misdemeanor federal security statute used to prosecute former CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus, said former federal prosecutor Bradley Simon.

Bet me The Supreme Court Will Roll Over On This One Too.

If they can tie themselves into knots giving their blessings to gay marriage, this one will be a slam dunk for the cops.

Search warrant required for records of cellphone location, federal appeals court rules

RICHMOND, Va. — Police must get a search warrant to obtain records about cellphone locations in criminal investigations, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.
The American Civil Liberties Union said the decision by a three-judge panel of the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals conflicts with two other federal appeals court rulings and increases the possibility that the Supreme Court will take up the issue. Attorneys last week asked the Supreme Court to review an appeals court ruling in a Florida case that said search warrants are not required.
The case in the Richmond-based appeals court involved two men who were convicted of a series of armed robberies in the Baltimore area. The court said authorities who obtained cellphone tower records tracking the suspects' movements without a warrant violated the Constitution's prohibition against unreasonable searches.
“Today's opinion is a full-throated defense of Fourth Amendment privacy rights in the digital age,” said Nathan Freed Wessler, an attorney with the ACLU Speech, Privacy and Technology Project.

I ain't gonna hold my breath.

Even when I was still a Liberal I knew John Roberts was bad news.
He is even worse than I imagined.

FBI: Middle Eastern Men Intimidating U.S. Military Families In Colorado & Wyoming

Search and destroy.
Find these clowns and put a stop to this shit immediately.

DENVER (CBS4) – An alert has been issued by the FBI to all law enforcement agencies in Colorado and Wyoming involving U.S. military families and concerns about who may be watching them.
The alert says Middle Eastern men are approaching families of U.S. military members at their homes in Colorado and Wyoming. It mentions Greeley, Colorado, and Cheyenne, Wyoming, as the specific areas.
In one case last May the wife of a military member was approached in front of her home by two Middle Eastern males. The men stated that she was the wife of a U.S. interrogator. When she denied their claims the men laughed. The two men left the area in a dark-colored, four-door sedan with two other Middle Eastern males in the vehicle.
“The woman had observed the vehicle in the neighborhood on previous occasions,” the alert states.
Similar incidents in Wyoming have been reported to the FBI throughout June 2015.

Taurus To Recall Almost One Million Pistols

If you own one of the pistols listed below then you will want to be keeping up with this.

Taurus pistol recall: Firearms company voluntary recalls nearly 1 million pistols

Firearms manufacturer Taurus has agreed to a voluntary recall of nearly 1 million pistols as part of the settlement of a lawsuit that alleges nine handgun models had defects, including one that caused some to inadvertently fire when dropped.

"This is not an anti-firearms lawsuit. This is a defective product lawsuit," said Birmingham attorney Todd Wheeles, co-lead counsel representing plaintiffs in the 2013 federal lawsuit. "This hopefully will help save lives by taking defective firearms off the street."

The settlement affects customers who bought the following models sold between 1997 and 2013 in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam: PT-111 Millennium; PT-132 Millennium; PT-138-Millennium; PT-140 Millennium; PT-145 Millennium; PT-745 Millennium; PT-609; PT-640; and PT-24/7.

Despite the voluntary recall, Taurus denied in a statement Friday night that there are any design defects in the models.

"Neither the settlement nor the allegations in the case include any of the popular Taurus G2 model pistols," according to the Taurus statement.

Details concerning the nine pistols and how and when to submit a claim will be provided in the near future, according to the Taurus statement. "Claims will be handled by a Third Party Claims Administrator (TPA). Once the Claims Period opens, the Taurus Companies will provide notice through digital and print outlets. All claims should be made through the TPA."

Get. The. FUCK. Out . NOW!!

Go, find some other country that will put up with your absolutely ridiculous need to avoid anything even remotely upsetting to your worthless fucking asses.

‘American’ deemed a ‘problematic’ word by University of New Hampshire

A “Bias-Free Language Guide” used by the University of New Hampshire includes “American” in a list of “problematic” words.
“American” joins “illegal alien,” “mothering,” “fathering,” and a collection of other words that are frowned upon by the university, education watchdog Campus Reform reported Tuesday.

The online guide suggests that students who wish to discuss a topic that would require using “American” instead use phrases such as “U.S. citizen” or “Resident of the U.S.”
The guide recommends against the term because it “assumes the U.S. is the only country inside” the continents of North and South America.
UNH’s “Bias-Free Language Guide” also includes sections on how to navigate “microaggression,” and gender issues. Those aggressions are broken down into the categories “micro-assault,” “micro-insult,” and “micro-invalidation.”
“Micro-aggressions hold a lot of power and especially because of their frequency in our culture. They may appear subtle and harmless, but we must address them if we wish to consider ourselves a truly civil society,” the guide says, suggesting students try to use “micro-affirmations” instead.
President Mark Huddleston, the University of New Hampshire’s president, responded Campus Reform’s story Wednesday after it went viral.
“While individuals on our campus have every right to express themselves, I want to make it absolutely clear that the views expressed in this guide are NOT the policy of the University of New Hampshire. I am troubled by many things in the language guide, especially the suggestion that the use of the term `American’ is misplaced or offensive,” Mr. Huddleston said, The Associated Press reported.
AP reported that the guide was created by students and staff in 2013.

You fucking people have jumped the shark with a triple back flip in your pathetic attempts to instill your socially retarded values on everyone you come into contact with.

Micro aggression my achin' ass.
What a bunch of pussy motherfuckers.
I bet people like me cause you to piss down your leg and tremble uncontrollably.

I am an American and damn proud of it, if you aren't?

GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY COUNTRY!

Don't let the door slam ya on the ass on your way out and don't look back, we do not want or need your useless asses.

You are a detriment to society and not deserving of the privilege of calling yourselves my fellow countrymen.

The Tide Goes Both Ways

You know, I have been around long enough to witness this country go back and forth more than a few times in it's political climate and I can tell you that this too shall pass but not soon enough for damn sure.

A GMILF You Will Not Believe

Holy Moly, take a look at these pictures and then take a wild ass guess as to how old this lady is.
